BELFRY — Johnson Central outlasted Lawrence County 1-0 in the semifinals of the 15th Region Girls' Soccer Tournament at Belfry High School on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The loss eliminated Lawrence County from the girls' high school soccer postseason. Following the setback, Lawrence County exited the 2021 girls' high school soccer season 13-7-0.

After claiming the win, Johnson Central improved to 9-6-3 and advanced to the 15th Region Girls' Soccer Tournament title match.

Haley Lykins netted the lone goal off an assist from Abigail Williams to lift Johnson Central to the win.

Defensively for Johnson Central, goalkeeper Clara Blair recorded a shutout. Blair logged seven saves for the Eagles.

Kaison Ward paced Lawrence County, logging four saves while limiting Johnson Central to one goal.
