JACKSON — Johnson Central outlasted Jackson City 4-3 in a boys’ high school soccer season opener on Monday, Aug. 10.

Ty Wilson, who netted each of Johnson Central’s four goals, Jackson Evans (two assists) and Gavin Webb (one assist) accounted for the Golden Eagles’ offense.

Defensively for Johnson Central, goalkeeper Gage Ashley logged 10 saves.

Gideon Bowling (two goals), Kayden Holbrook (one goal) and Bentley Tincher (one assist) accounted for Jackson City’s offense.

Defensively, goalkeeper Cooper Bradley (six saves) paced the Tigers.
