LOUISA — Lawrence County edged Belfry 3-2 in a 57th District boys’ soccer match on Thursday, Aug. 13.

Perennial title contender Lawrence County evened its record to 1-1 after notching the win.

Senior Jack Cline, sophomore Isaac Maynard and freshman Levi Hensley each scored one goal for the Bulldogs.

As part of a balanced offensive effort for Lawrence County, Hensley and Cooper Vinson delivered assists.

Defensively for Lawrence County, goalkeeper Cole Robinette recorded six saves.

Lawrence County dropped its season opener to Boyd County on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Boyd County shut out Lawrence County 3-0.

Robinette logged 10 saves for Lawrence County in the loss to Boyd County.
