Johnson Central, Fleming County battle to scoreless tie

FLEMINGSBURG — Johnson Central battled host Fleming County to a scoreless tie in a girls’ high school soccer match on Saturday, Aug. 17.
With the tie, Johnson Central moved to 2-0-1 in the 2024 girls’ high school soccer season.
Defensively for Johnson Central, goalkeeper Abigail Ramey recorded three saves.
Johnson Central 8, Pikeville 0: Johnson Central blanked Pikeville 8-0 in a girls’ high school soccer match at Coach Jim Matney Field on Thursday, Aug. 15.
Braylee Murphy scored two goals and dealt out one assist to lead Johnson Central to the win.
Along with Murphy, Kiersten Sagraves (one goal, one assist), Madelyn Burchett (one goal, one assist), Lily Jarrell (one goal, one assist), Lauren Arrowood (one goal), Deana Osborne (one goal), Callie Davis (one goal), Emma Ferguson (one assist) and Josie Dials (one assist) produced offensively for the Lady Eagles.
Defensively for Johnson Central, goalkeeper Abigail Ramey recorded a shutout. Ramey posted five saves.
Johnson Central 18, Shelby Valley 0: Johnson Central rolled past host Shelby Valley 18-0 in a girls’ high school soccer season opener on Monday, Aug. 12.
Offensively for Johnson Central, Braylee Murphy (four goals, two assists), Kiersten Sagraves (four goals, two assists), Madelyn Burchett (three goals, two assists), Callie Davis (two goals), Deana Osborne (one goal, one assist), Lily Jarrell (one goal, one assist), McKenley Hill (one goal), Lauren Arrowood (one goal) and Macie Shepherd (one goal) each contributed.
Goalkeeper Abigail Ramey led Johnson Central defensively, recording a shutout.
