PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central topped Pikeville 5-1 in a boys’ high school soccer match at Coach Jim Matney Field on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Following the win, Johnson Central improved to 2-1.

Gavin Webb scored two goals and dealt out one assist to lead Johnson Central to the win.

In addition to Webb, Mason Walker (one goal, one assist), Conner Watts (one goal), Jarend Zimbleman (one goal), Jaidon Daniel (one assist) and Ty Wilson (one assist) produced offensively for the Golden Eagles.

Goalkeeper Peytonn Daniel paced Johnson Central defensively, limiting Pikeville to one goal. Peyton Daniel recorded eight saves.

Johnson Central 8, Shelby Valley 0: Johnson Central shut out Shelby Valley 8-0 in a boys’ high school soccer match in Robinson Creek on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Mason Walker scored three goals to lead Johnson Central to the win.

Along with Walker’s hat trick, Jaidon Daniel (one goal, one assist), Johnathan Tackett (one goal), Owen Trador (one goal), Ty Wilson (one goal), Jarend Zimbleman (one goal), Conner Watts (two assists), Jackson Evans (one assist), Bryce Ferguson (one assist) and Cory Hammond (one assist) each delivered offensively for the Golden Eagles.

Defensively for Johnson Central, goalkeeper Peyton Daniel recorded a shutout. Daniel logged two saves.
