Bulldogs finish 12th in Johnson Central tournament

PRESTONSBURG — Lawrence County finished 12th out of 24 teams in Johnson Central’s Nelson & Cathy Gullett Invitational at StoneCrest Golf Course on Monday, July 20.

The Nelson & Cathy Gullett Invitational served as a season opener for the participating boys’ high school golf teams.

Alex Meadows and CJ Whitt ranked as the top two golfers for Lawrence County in the Nelson & Cathy Gullett Invitational. Meadows and Whitt finished in the Top 50 among 133 golfers.

In addition, Lawrence County golfer Peyton Muncy, delivered a 130-yard hole out from the fairway.

Contributing during the season opener, Eli Caudill and Hayden Perry also competed for the Bulldogs.
