OWENSBORO — Johnson Central finished runner-up in the 2A Girls’ Soccer State Tournament.

Boyle County shut out Johnson Centra; 9-0 in the 2A Girls’ Soccer State Tournament title match a Steele Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Johnson Central suffered its first loss in the 2025 girls’ high school soccer season.

Chasity Ramey (six saves) and Greta Lewandoski (three saves) split time at goalkeeper for Johnson Central during the title match.

Johnson Central edged Bourbon County 2-1 in the semifinals of the 2A Girls’ Soccer State Tournament. More on the Johnson Central-Bourbon County match follows.

Johnson Central 2, Bourbon County 1: Johnson Central edged Bourbon County 2-1 in the semifinals of the 2A Girls’ Soccer State Tournament at Steele Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Lily Jarrell (one goal), Callie Davis (one goal), Deana Osborne (one assist) and Karlea Stanley (one assist) were each active offensively for the Lady Eagles.

Turning in a strong defensive effort for Johnson Central, goalkeeper Greta Lewandoski (four saves) held Bourbon County to one goal.
