PIKEVILLE — Johnson Central outlasted Floyd Central 3-2 in the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament title match at Pikeville High School’s T.W. Oliver Memorial Gymnasium on Thursday, Oct. 26.

Determined Johnson Central claimed its first 15th Region title, improving to 29-4.

Johnson Central won 29-27, 25-16, 19-25, 23-25, 15-11.

Mayson Delong (30 kills, 2 blocks, 1 assist, 12 digs, 3 service aces), Brailynn Harless (20 kills, 1 assist, 9 digs, 1 service ace), Carrigan Ratliff (1 assist, 3 digs), Alyssa Clevinger (8 digs), Addyson Burchett (4 kills, 1 block, 1 assist, 15 digs, 2 service aces), Randi Delong (26 assists, 16 digs, 3 service aces), Brittany McCarty (2 kills, 4 blocks, 33 assists, 2 digs), Chloe Reed (10 kills, 1 service ace) and Lauren Trimble (3 kills, 4 digs) each contributed to Johnson Central’s 15th Region championship-clinching win.

After claiming the 15th Region championship. Johnson Central advanced to the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament.
