PAINTSVILLE — Claiming a championship, Johnson Central defeated Paintsville 3-1 in the 57th District Volleyball Tournament title match on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Johnson Central won 25-18, 22-25, 27-25, 25-20.

Carrigan Ratliff (6 digs), Alyssa Clevinger (2 kills, 8 digs), Randi Delong (1 kill, 3 blocks, 25 assists, 7 digs), Brailyn Harless (11 kills, 6 blocks, 6 assists, 4 digs), Kaylee Blevins (7 digs), Brittany McCarty (3 kills, 14 assists, 4 digs), Mayson Delong (24 kills, 1 block, 1 assist, 6 digs, 2 service aces), Adyson Burchett (3 kills, 2 blocks, 1 assist, 11 digs, 2 service aces) and Chloe Reed (4 kills, 1 service ace) each produced for Johnson Central in its district championship-clinching win.

Paintsville featured Kylie Kinner (21 kills, 2 blocks, 1 assist, 13 digs, 1 service ace), Olivia Maynard (19 kills, 5 blocks, 11 digs, 5 service aces), Bailey Porter (46 assists, 7 digs, 1 service ace), Jenna Ousey (12 digs), Sarah Ward (3 digs), Annabelle Blankenship (2 kills, 1 block, 1 dig), Kat Baldwin (6 kills, 2 digs, 1 service ace) and Chessa Collins (1 block) in the 57th District title match.

Both Johnson Central and Paintsville advanced to the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament.
