Jersey Retirement ceremony to be Dec. 22 for Tolsia High School alumni Coty Jude

Tolsia High School will have a jersey retirement ceremony during the Friday, Dec. 22, basketball game with Tug Valley Panthers, for alumni Coty Jude who graduated from Tolsia in 2017.

He was an All-State selection as a senior. He set the single-game scoring record with 54-points against St. Joe of Huntington, WV.

Coty continued his basketball career as a Forward player at Division 1 UNC-Asheville (Bulldogs), playing in 112 games. He recorded a career high 24 points against Gardner Webb and finished his career with the (2021-22 season).

“With immense gratitude and appreciation, I am elated to announce that Tolsia High School will be retiring my jersey during their home game with Tug Valley. It has been and continues to be, a true honor and privilege to wear orange and blue, representing our school and community during an unforgettable chapter in my career,” said Jude. “I extend a heartfelt invitation to everyone, not only to join me in this memorable celebration but also to show support to the current team as they gear up for an always highly anticipated games against our rivals, thanks you to all who have supported me throughout the years, I hope to see you there,” he continued.
