PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central is ranked first in the KVCA Preseason 15th Region Top 5 Poll.
The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association (KVCA) ranks the top five teams in each of the state’s 16 regions.
Johnson Central is ranked ahead of Floyd Central, reigning champion Paintsville, Pikeville and Shelby Valley in the preseason region poll.
The other top-ranked teams from across the state are McCracken County (1st Region), Henderson County (2nd Region-Tie), University Heights (2nd Region-Tie), Whitesville Trinity (3rd Region), Bowling Green (4th Region), Central Hardin (5th Region), Mercy (6th Region), Assumption (7th Region-Tie), Sacred Heart (7th Region-Tie), North Oldham (8th Region), Notre Dame (9th Region), Campbell County (10th Region), Paul Laurence Dunbar (11th Region), West Jessamine (12th Region), Whitley County (13th Region), Wolfe County (14th Region) and Boyd County (16th Region).
