PRESTONSBURG — Lawrence County golfer Reece Hughes shot a 70 to win the 2A, Section 8 Boys’ Golf Tournament individual title at StoneCrest Golf Course on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

As a team, Lawrence County finished runner-up in the 2A, Section 8 Boys’ Golf Tournament.

The alignment for 2A, Section 8 is as follows: Floyd Central, Johnson Central, Lawrence County, Letcher County Central, Magoffin County, Pike County Central, Perry County Central.

After capturing the Section 8 title, Hughes advances to the 2A Boys’ Golf State Tournament.
