Hughes named First Team All-Region 12

LOUISA — Lawrence County boys’ golfer Reece Hughes has been named First Team All-Region 12.

The Kentucky Golf Coaches Association honored Hughes and additional boys’ golfers from across Region 12.

The alignment for Region 12 is as follows: Ashland Blazer, Bath County, Boyd County, East Carter, Elliott County, Fairview, Fleming County, Greenup County, Lawrence County, Lewis County, Mason County, Montgomery County, Morgan County, Raceland, Rose Hill Christian, Rowan County Senior High School, Russell, St. Patrick, West Carter.

Hughes led Lawrence County throughout the 2025 boys’ high school golf season.

The Region 12 honorees for the 2025 boys’ high school golf season follow.

Region 12 Boys’ Golf Player of the Year: Will Jones (Rowan County).

First Team All-Region 12 Boys’ Golf: Will Jones (Rowan County), Rylan Beighle (Rowan County), Noah Gardner (Mason County), Reece Hughes (Lawrence County), Jaxen Crabtree (Mason County).  

Second Team All-Region 12 Boys’ Golf: Cole Owens (Mason County), Ben Rickey (Fleming County), Braydon Mays (Morgan County), Brooks Bonfield (Montgomery County), Brady Mason (Russell).
