PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central defeated Hazard 3-1 in a boys’ high school soccer match at Coach Jim Matney Field on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Mason Walker scored two goals and distributed one assist to lead Johnson Central to the win.

Joining Walker in Johnson Central’s scoring column, Jarend Zimbleman netted one goal.

Chipping in offensively for Johnson Central, Conner Watts dished out one assist.

Goalkeeper Peyton Daniel paced Johnson Central defensively, recording four saves. Daniel limited Hazard to one goal.

Johnson Central claimed its fourth win in five games.

With the win, Johnson Central improved to 4-2-0.
