Fishing tournament to be held Oct. 1 at Yatesville Lake

LOUISA - Ashland Fire Fighters Local 706 will have a Daryle Patrick Fishing Tournament on Yatesville Lake Saturday, Oct. 1.

All proceeds from this event will go towards the annual Daryle Patrick Children’s Christmas Party.

Registration will begin at 6 a.m., at the marina. The tournament will have two divisions: boat and kayak. Weigh-in starts at 2 p.m. A children’s shore tournament will begin at noon. The most fish wins.

Randy’s Red White and Blue Backyard BBQ of Louisa will be on site for concessions.

• Boat Division: $100 per boat (two-person team). Launch at first light. $10 Big Fish. Prizes include $1,000 for first place, $400 for second place and $200 for third place.

• Kayak Division: Launch 30 minutes after boats. Rentals are available at Rebel River Outfitters. The payout will depend on number of entries.

Sponsorship levels are gold, $500 (includes large sign, boat entry, prize sponsorship); silver, $250 (includes large sign and boat entry); and bronze, $100 (sponsorship sign).
