Fetherolf signs with Union Commonwealth University

LOUISA — Lawrence County High School senior student-athlete Luke Fetherolf signed with the Union Commonwealth University football program during a ceremony held in the LCHS Library on Friday, Feb. 27.
Fetherolf was a leader on the gridiron for Lawrence County during his high school football career.
“To put it simply, he is one of a kind,” said Lawrence County Coach Alan Short. “I believe everyone in this room would agree that he is an exceptionally talented football player. Moreover, he is an even better person. Luke, your time as a Bulldog has made a lasting impact on this program. You have elevated the standards, shaped the culture, and represented this community with great pride. We are incredibly proud of you, grateful for your influence, and excited to see you continue to grow, compete, and succeed at the next level.”
Fetherolf, a standout student-athlete, excelled throughout his senior season in 2025. Through the air, Fetherolf completed 125 passes for 2,350 yards and 29 touchdowns. On the ground, Fetherolf rushed 74 times for 641 yards and seven touchdowns.
“First of all, nothing is possible without God in your life.,” Fetherolf commented during his signing ceremony. “If you don’t have God in your life, you won’t be successful. I want to thank all my coaches and teammates for being there for me. My parents, for always putting in the blood, sweat, and tears for me. Nothing is possible without you guys and for you being by my side. And to all my coaches, I just want to thank you guys. Thank you for everything!”
