Feltner's triple-double leads LC over Prestonsburg 84-54

LOUISA — Kensley Feltner recorded a triple-double to lead Lawrence County over visiting Prestonsburg 84-54 in a 58th District girls' basketball game on Friday, Jan. 22.
Leading Lawrence County to the district win, Feltner delivered 27 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. In addition to logging the triple-double, Feltner recorded six steals and two blocks for the Lady Bulldogs. She was 11-of-16 on shots taken inside the arc.
Reigning 58th District champion Lawrence County took control early, separating itself from Prestonsburg.
Lawrence County shot 46.4 percent (32-of-69) from the field. The Lady Bulldogs were 12-of-27 from 3-point range, shooting 44.4 percent beyond the arc.
Lawrence County shot 72.7 percent (8-of-11) from the free throw line.
The Lady Bulldogs outrebounded Prestonsburg 46-30.
Following Feltner in double figures in scoring for Lawrence County, Sophie Adkins added 21 points. Adkins was 6-of-9 from 3-point range.
Joining Feltner and Adkins in double figures in scoring for the Lady Bulldogs, Ellie Webb added 13 points.
Finishing one shot shy of double figures in scoring for Lawrence County, Kyleah Webb chipped in eight points.
Kaison Ward was the Lady Bulldogs' second-leading rebounder. claiming 11 rebounds.
Prestonsburg shot 33.3 percent (18-of-54) from the field. The Lady Blackcats were 4-of-18 from 3-point range.
Prestonsburg shot 50 percent (14-of-28) from the free throw line.
Faith Lazar led Prestonsburg, scoring a team-high 22 points for the Lady Blackcats. Lazar was the only Prestonsburg player to reach double figures in scoring.
Behind Lazar in scoring for Prestonsburg, Alivia Slone added nine points and Maggie Nelson posted eight points.
