LOUISA — Lawrence County junior guard Kensley Feltner has been named First Team All-State by the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Feltner is the first player in the history of the Lawrence County girls’ basketball program to be named First Team All-State.
Among the top prep hoops players in the state, Feltner led Lawrence County throughout the 2021-22 girls’ high school basketball season, averaging 26.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. In 35 games, Feltner scored 943 points and pulled down 321 rebounds. The Lawrence County junior led the state in scoring.
Feltner paced Lawrence County as the Lady Bulldogs won the 58th District championship and finished runner-up in the 15th Region.
Heading into her senior season, Feltner has scored over 3,000 points and pulled downed 1,000-plus rebounds.
Feltner will enter the 2022-23 girls’ high school basketball season as one of the state’s top players.
