Feltner hits three home runs for Morehead State in doubleheader

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Morehead State freshman first baseman Jackson Feltner launched three home runs, including two in the opening-game win, and senior second baseman Bryce Hensor totaled four hits as the Eagles split a doubleheader at Ohio Valley Conference rival Jacksonville State on Saturday, April 26.

Feltner is a Lawrence County High School graduate from Louisa. He led the Bulldogs to 15th Region title during his junior season in 2019.

The Eagles pitched a shutout and won 3-0 in the opener before the home team scored six times in the sixth inning after a lengthy weather delay in the second game. Jacksonville State held defeated the Eagles 9-5 in the nightcap of the OVC baseball doubleheader.

Following the doubleheader split, Morehead State occupied first place in the OVC with a 9-5 record while moving to 19-5 overall.

Jacksonville State dropped to 9-8 in the OVC and 19-19 overall following the conference doubleheader.
