Dingess scores 50 points, leads Cardinals over Mountain Mission (Va.)

INEZ — Senior guard Brady Dingess scored 50 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and dished out eight assists as Martin County defeated visiting Mountain Mission (Va.) 84-63 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Martin County moved ahead early, outscoring Mountain Mission 21-11 in the first quarter.
Mountain Mission managed to outscore Martin County 25-18 in the second quarter but continued to have to play from behind throughout the second half.
After leading 39-36 at halftime, Martin County outscored its opponent from Virginia 21-9 in the third quarter.
Dingess was the only Martin County player to reach double figures in scoring. Nearly reaching double figures for the Cardinals, Matt Linville netted nine points.
Martin County shot 66.6 percent (12 of 18) from the free throw line.
Mountain Mission featured two scorers in double figures.
Imani Chacha scored 23 points to lead Mountain Mission in scoring. David Chacha added 13 points as Mountain Mission suffered the double-digit loss.
Mountain Mission shot 40 percent (four of 10) from the free-throw line in its loss.
