PAINTSVILLE — Lawrence County topped Pikeville 4-1 in the semifinals of the 15th Region Boys’ Soccer Tournament at Coach Jim Matney Field on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Aiden Mynhier scored two goals to lead Lawrence County to the win.

Accompanying Mynhier in Lawrence County’s scoring column, Jack Cline and Andrew Vinson each netted one goal for the Bulldogs.

Both Cooper Vinson and Andrew Vinson dished out one assist for Lawrence County in its win.

Goalkeeper Ryland Brady continued to pace Lawrence County defensively, limiting Pikeville to one goal. Brady delivered six saves for the Bulldogs.

Matthew Mullins scored Pikeville’s lone goal.

Defensively for Pikeville, Will Coleman allowed four goals. Coleman managed to record 12 saves in the setback.

The Bulldogs advanced to the 15th Region Boys’ Soccer Tournament title match. Reigning champion Lawrence County (9-9) is scheduled to meet Prestonsburg (11-8) in the 15th Region Boys’ Soccer Tournament title match at Coach Jim Matney Field at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17.
