Bulldogs push past Pirates 61-56

BELFRY — Lawrence County pushed past 15th Region rival Belfry in an early-season matchup, winning 61-56 on Saturday, Dec. 14.

After notching the win, Lawrence County moved to 4-1.

Lawrence County shot 38 percent (19-of-50) from the field in its winning effort. The Bulldogs made four of 19 three-point field goal attempts.

Lawrence County shot 61.3 percent (19-of-31) from the free throw line.

Kaiden Harris scored a team-high 20 points for the Bulldogs. Harris made nine of 13 free throw attempts.

Following Harris in Lawrence County’s scoring column, Hayden Perry netted 17 points.

Luke Fetherolf delivered a double-double for the Bulldogs, scoring 14 points and clearing out 13 rebounds.

Finishing near double figures for Lawrence County, Kaden Johnson added eight points.

Rounding out Lawrence County’s scoring, Gunnar Woods chipped in two points.
