Bulldogs outlast Tigers in overtime

LOUISA — Lawrence County outlasted Paintsville 56-53 in overtime on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

The Bulldogs won on Senior Night.

Following the win, Lawrence County improved to 21-4.

Lawrence County won despite shooting only 30 percent (21-of-70) from the field. The Bulldogs made four of 18 three-point field goal attempts.

Lawrence County, which posted its fourth straight win, shot 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the free throw line.

Hayden Perry scored 13 points to lead Lawrence County to the win. Perry connected on two of four three-point field goal attempts.

Along with Perry reaching double figures for Lawrence County, Blake Marcum scored 12 points and Andrew Bloomfield netted 11 points.

Finishing outside double figures, Gunnar Woods (seven points), Kaden Johnson (six points), Logan Ratliff (five points) and Luke Fetherolf (two points) were Lawrence County’s other scorers.

Ratliff paced Lawrence County inside, claiming eight rebounds.

Lawrence County dealt Paintsville its fifth straight loss.
