LOUISA — Lawrence County outlasted visiting Pike County Central 63-61 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
The Bulldogs and Hawks, former district rivals, swapped leads during the boys' high school basketball matchup.
Lawrence County shot 48 percent (24-of-50) from the field. The Bulldogs knocked down four of 18 three-point field goal attempts.
Lawrence County, which featured four scorers in double figures, shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the free throw line.
Kaden Gillispie led Lawrence County, scoring 17 points for the Bulldogs.
Accompanying Gillispie in double figures for Lawrence County, Anthony Johnson scored 15 points, Trent Adkins netted 14 points and Cody Maynard provided 11 points.
Nearly recording a double-double for the Bulldogs, Adkins pulled down nine rebounds.
Pike County Central shot 37.5 percent (24-of-64) from the field. The Hawks connected on seven of 22 three-point field goal attempts.
Pike County Central shot 54.5 percent (six-of-11) from the free throw line.
Josh Du Toit paced Pike County Central with a double-double, scoring 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Joining Du Toit in double figures for the Hawks, Jaylan Rigdon and Jaden Stewart netted 18 points apiece.
