Bulldogs knock off Rams in double overtime 70-67

RACELAND — Determined Lawrence County knocked off Raceland 70-67 in double overtime on Friday, Feb. 17.
The Bulldogs returned to the win column following back-to-back losses.
Winning in a regular season finale, Lawrence County improved to 16-14.
Raceland fell to 13-17 after absorbing the loss.
Lawrence County and Raceland swapped leads throughout the late-season boys’ high school basketball game.
The Bulldogs made five three-point field goals in the win.
Lawrence County connected on 11 of 22 free throw attempts, shooting 50 percent from the foul line.
As part of a balanced offensive effort, Lawrence County featured three scorers in double figures.
Andrew Bloomfield scored 17 points to lead Lawrence County to the win.
Accompanying Bloomfield in double figures for Lawrence County, Blake Marcum scored 14 points and Hayden Perry netted 12 points.
Narrowly missing double figures for the Bulldogs, Will Lafferty tallied nine points.
Contributing to the win, Logan Ratliff (seven points), Kaden Gillispie (six points) and Ford Scaggs (five points) provided the rest of Lawrence County’s scoring.
