Bulldogs knock off Cougars in 2025-26 debut

WEST LIBERTY — Winning on the road, Lawrence County defeated Morgan County 79-64 in its season opener on Monday, Dec. 1.

The Bulldogs and Cougars are former 16th Region rivals.

Lawrence County carried a lead out of each quarter. The Bulldogs led 32-25 at halftime and extended their lead after the break.

Kaiden Harris paced Lawrence County, scoring 24 points for the Bulldogs.

Accompanying Harris in double figures for Lawrence County, Hayden Perry scored 19 points, CJ Waller netted 12 points and Caden Muncy tallied 11 points.

Rounding out Lawrence County’s individual scoring, Luke Fetherolf added seven points, and Kaden Johnson contributed six points.

The Bulldogs connected on 19 of 22 free throw attempts in the season opener.

Lawrence County 69, Lewis County 62: Lawrence County defeated Lewis County 69-62 on the road in Vanceburg on Wednesday, Dec. 3.  

The Bulldogs battled back from behind to claim the win. Lawrence County finished strong, outscoring Lewis County 37-24 in the second half.  

Kaiden Harris led Lawrence County to the win, pouring in a game-high 32 points for the Bulldogs.

Along with Harris, Kaden Johnson (11 points), Hayden Perry (10 points) and Luke Fetherolf (10 points) reached double figures in Lawrence County’s scoring column.

Finishing outside double figures, CJ Waller (four points) and Caden Muncy (two points) provided the rest of Lawrence County’s scoring.  

The Bulldogs made 15 of 19 free throw attempts in the winning effort.
