Bulldogs drop one-run game to Allen County-Scottsville

SCOTTSVILLE — Lawrence County came up short as Allen County-Scottsville held on to win 1-0 in 8 innings on Tuesday, March 31.
Keagan Towe pitched a complete game for Allen County-Scottsville (15th District/4th Region) and earned the win on the mound. Towe recorded seven strikeouts.
Alex Meadows pitched one-third of an inning in relief for Lawrence County and took the loss.
Gray Derifield started on the mound for Lawrence County and pitched seven innings. Derifield recorded eight strikeouts.
In addition to Meadows, Eli Caudill pitched one-third of an inning in relief for the Bulldogs.
Allen County-Scottsville scored one run three hits. Noah Towe, Parker Meador and Ty Wilson each singled for the Patriots.
Lawrence County lost despite edging Allen County-Scottsville 4-3 in the hit column.
Derifield, Caudill, Owen Pack and Grant Cochran each hit safely once for the Bulldogs. Pack doubled but was left on base.
The Bulldogs slipped into the loss column after outlasting Barren County 8-7 in 8 innings one day earlier.
