INEZ — Visiting Lawrence County doubled up former 57th District counterpart Martin County 10-5 in a high school baseball game on Monday, April 5.
Blue Fletcher homered and drove in three runs to lead Lawrence County to the win.
Abner Collinsworth earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Collinsworth surrendered three runs on four hits over three and a third innings, striking out five.
Braydan Maynard pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Lawrence County. Maynard recorded the last 11 outs to claim the save.
Brady Endicott suffered the pitching loss for the Cardinals. Endicott allowed six hits and eight runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
Chase Stacy and Matthew Fitch worked out of relief roles on the mound for Martin County, pitching three innings and one inning, respectively.
Lawrence County edged Martin County 7-6 in the hits column.
Collinsworth and Jake Derifield provided two hits apiece for the Bulldogs in the victory.
Kenneth Young and Greyden Proctor collected two hits apiece for Martin County.
Defensively, Martin County committed four errors.
