LOUISA — Lawrence County pulled away to defeat Paintsville 8-1 in a 57th District boys’ soccer match on Monday, Sept. 9.
The Bulldogs controlled the district match, winning convincingly.
Andrew Vinson scored five goals and dealt out two assists to lead Lawrence County to the district win.
Active throughout the district match, Aiden Mynhier (one goal, one assist), Cooper Vinson (one goal, one assist), Ryland Brady (one goal) and Owen Pack (two assists) joined Andrew Vinson in Lawrence County’s offensive attack.
Combining to pace Lawrence County defensively, Brady (three saves) and Cole Robinette (two saves) split time at goalkeeper for the Bulldogs.
Michael Stafford scored Paintsville’s lone goal in the district match.
Defensively for Paintsville, goalkeeper Cedric Stewart recorded 17 saves while allowing eight goals.
