PIKEVILLE — Lawrence County edged Belfry 3-2 in the 58th District Boys' Soccer Tournament title match on Thursday, Oct. 15. Pikeville hosted the 58th District Boys' Soccer Tournament. Perennial 15th Region championship contender Lawrence County captured its third straight 58th District title. Following the win, Lawrence County improved to 8-4. Belfry stumbled to 4-6-2 after suffering the loss. Luke Johnson netted two goals to lead Lawrence County to the victory. Chipping in offensively for the Bulldogs, Blake Maynard netted one goal and dished out one assist. Lawrence County goalkeeper Trenton Adkins recorded eight saves while allowing two goals. Dalton Stacy and Jasper McCoy scored one goal apiece for the Pirates. Aidan McCoy provided an assist on one of Belfry's two goals.
