LOUISA — Lawrence County, a 15th Region title contender, shut out Pikeville 10-0 in the 58th District Boys' Soccer Tournament championship match on Wednesday, Oct. 6.
The shutout win over Pikeville gave Lawrence County its fourth straight district title.
Several players contributed for the Bulldogs.
Luke Johnson scored five goals and distributed one assist to lead Lawrence County to the district championship-clinching win.
Aiding Lawrence County's offensive effort, Blake Maynard scored three goals and dealt out three assists.
Additional contributors for Lawrence County in the victory included Ryder Brown (one goal), Ryland Brady (one goal), Brian Nelson (two assists), Andrew Vinson (one assist), Matthew Clevenger (one assist), Logan Southers (one assist) and Zach Holt (one assist).
Goalkeeper Trenton Adkins recorded a shutout for the Bulldogs, aiding Lawrence County from his position.
Both Lawrence County (13-2-2) and Pikeville (5-10-2) advanced to the 15th Region Boys' Soccer Tournament.
