BSCTC Educational Foundation Hosted 14th Annual William G. Duke Golf Scramble

The Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) Educational Foundation hosted the 14th annual William G. Duke Golf Scramble on Friday, May 10, presented by Appalachian Wireless and Community Trust Bank. The event, which offered cash prizes totaling $15,000, attracted golfers from as far away as Tennessee. Participants also had the exciting opportunity to win a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend, sponsored by Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC.

Before the scramble began, Kelli Martin, Executive Director of the BSCTC Educational Foundation, addressed the attendees. She emphasized the significance of supporting education and workforce training and thanked the sponsors and golfers for their dedication to providing access and opportunities for students at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

The CLIMB-Health team, consisting of Will Branham, Mikeal Fannin, Ryan Martin, and Jon Mark Tackett, secured first place and a $1,000 prize. The Ferguson team, made up of Will Boyd, Brett James, Austin Sloan, and Mike Stanley, took second place and won $500.
