Three people were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 25, and ended up with multiple drug charges while also being served with several warrants during a traffic stop.

According to a press release, Louisa Ptl. Shelby Taylor observed a vehicle being driven by Brian Wolford, 42, of Louisa, who had an active Lawrence County bench warrant for several charges including drug and assault charges, receiving stolen property, wanton endangerment and failure to appear.

A traffic stop was conducted to arrest Mr. Wolford however, during the stop Louisa Police Chief Steven Wilburn observed occupants of the vehicle making furtive movements, as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view.

It was discovered that a second occupant, Elizabeth Green, 55, of Louisa, was in the back seat trying to conceal her identify.

Green also had an active Lawrence County indictment warrant for several traffic violations, drug charges, falsely identifying herself, disorderly conduct and failure to appear and was placed under arrest.

Upon being told to step out of the vehicle, to be arrested for the warrant, Green started sticking her hands in her pockets and pulling items out trying to place them under her armpits.

At one point when officers tried to get items out of her hand, she had a red bottlecap that had a crystalline substance that she started dumping out on to the officer’s hand and the ground.

She had a meth pipe and a torch as well in her pockets.

In the back seat under a blanket where she was sitting was a pink fuzzy pouch that contained a syringe, a marijuana grinder, a green plastic canister shaped like a cup that had a baggie with a crystalline substance inside, and a pill identified as Tylenol with hydrocodone.

In a bag she was holding were several more syringes and metal scissors.

Also, in the vehicle officers found a store bag with a red straw scoop with methamphetamine residue on it and a bag of marijuana.

Officers located over 12 grams of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, pills, marijuana, and cash along with various other drug paraphernalia items associated with drug trafficking and drug use.

A third occupant, Jasmine Bond, 35, of Louisa was also arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence, a complicity charge of trafficking in controlled substance (heroin), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia buy/possess, 2nd degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

Both Wolford and Green were also charged with possession of methamphetamine.

All three were arrested and lodged at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
