Six Indicted During Johnson County Grand Jury Meeting

The Johnson County Grand Jury met in regular session Thursday, Sept. 17, sending six cases to higher court for further judicial review.

•Stephen Ferguson, 42, of Paintsville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree when he was accused of being in possession of methamphetamine on June 16.

•Dusty Hamilton, 46, of Paintsville, was charged with terroristic threatening 1st degree when on June 26, he is accused of intentionally making false statements that he had placed a weapon of mass destruction in a government building, namely the Johnson County Judicial Building. He is also charged with persistent felony offender.

•Megan Terry, 29, of Bluefield, WV, was charged with making false statements to receive increase in benefits over $1,000 (2) counts when on Dec. 1, 2019, through June 30, 2025, she is accused of making false statements or representation of a material fact or fail to disclose a material fact to obtain $41,134 from the SNAP program. Also, during Nov. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2023, Terry is accused of making false statements or representation of a material fact or fail to disclose a material fact to obtain $2,547.26 with $2,036.63 from MA Managed Care Organization and $507.63 to WellCare.

•Suzanne Sewell, 51, of Paintsville, was charged with bail jumping 1st degree when on Aug. 28, she failed to appear in Johnson County Circuit Court on a felony charge as ordered by court.

•Marlena Walker, 56, of Van Lear, was charged with making false statements to receive increase in benefits over $1,000 (2 counts) when on Dec. 1, 2012, through June 30, 2018, she is accused of making false statements or representation of a material fact or fail to disclose a material fact to obtain $21,173 from the SNAP program.

Walker is accused of making false statements or representation of a material fact or fail to disclose a material fact to obtain $29,660.38 with $14,553.06 from MA Managed Care Organization and $15,107.32 to Aetna.

•Robbie Page, 44, of Raceland, was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree when on May 5, he is accused of being in possession of methamphetamine. Page is also charged with public intoxication (excluding alcohol).
