Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder to perform April 25 at Booth Energy Center in Inez

Martin County will host a two-day event, April 25-26, that will include a free concert by Ricky Skaggs who is a 15-time Grammy award winner, a proud member of the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The event is called Dream Applachia and scheduled Thursday. Skaggs, a native of Brushy in Lawrence County and his band “Kentucky Thunder” will be performing at the Booth Energy Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The center is located at 1825 Blacklog Road in Inez.

Friday, there will be a conference and gathering of experts, policymakers and community leaders dedicated to addressing the unique challenges face by citizens in the Central Appalachian region.
Keynote speaker for the conference will be Karen Kelly, Chief of Staff to Congressman Hal Rogers.
The location of the conference is 387 Main Street, Inez. It starts at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to last until 4 p.m.
