Lawrence County Grand Jury Indicts 20

LAWRENCE- Lawrence County Grand Jury issued 20 indictments on Thursday, Jan. 12.

•Colbert Haddix, 25, homeless, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession/use of drug paraphernalia.

On or about Nov. 17, 2023 Haddix was allegedly in possession of .133 grams of methamphetamine and knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of a glass pipe.

•Rachel McCoy, 40, of Louisa, is charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.

On or before Sept. 23, 2023, McCoy was in possession of 1.67 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to traffic that methamphetamine.

•Angela Lee Vanhoose, 38, of Ulysses, is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and resisting arrest.

On or before April, 16, 2023, Vanhoose allegedly engaged in conduct which created a substantial to another, namely, Ven Vanhoose, also of Louisa.

•Michael Wilks, 47, of Louisa is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

On or before Sept. 17,2023, Wilks was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

•Robert Gillespie, 52, of Louisa, is charged with first-degree possession of controlled substance.

On or before Dec.9, was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

•Lisa R. Collinsworth, 37 of Louisa, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

On or before July 12, 2023, Collinsworth was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

•Elizabeth Green, 53, of Louisa, is charged with theft of identity if another without consent.

On or before Sept. 6, 2023, Green allegedly used former or current identifying information with the intent to another represent to represent herself.

•William M. Hickman, 61, of Ulyssess, is charged with 13 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

On or before Oct. 23, 2023, Hickman allegedly engaged in conduct that creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to KSP Troopers Dallas Salyers; Dylan Alexander; Bobby King; Kyle Amburgey; Bret Criswell; Ryan Hale; Taylor Davis; Detectives James Rowland and Jeff Currry; Sergeant Eric Gibson; Brad Stafford with the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife; Louisa Police officer Teddy Newsome and Joe Osborne with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

•William Chafin, 35, of Louisa is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; theft by unlawful taking $1,000; and public intoxication.

On or before Nov. 10, 2023, Chafin was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine. He took a chain, he took a stone gold cross set and two price tags from Factory Connection and he was manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree he may endanger himself or other people.

•Mattew Chafin, 42 and Jamie McKinster,42, both of Louisa, is charged with two counts of second-degree burglary/complicity.

•Cynthia Broyles, 23, and Cody May 22, both homeless, are both charged with Chafin acting alone or in complicity allegedly entered the dwelling house of Melissa Alan with the intent to commit a theft crime of theft are .charged with third-degree/complicity.

On or about March 30th Broyles, acting alone of complicity with May allegedly entered a building and remained in a building that owned and operated by the Louisa Fire Department, located on Wheeler Lane in Louisa.

•Jonathan E. Mollette, 35, of Louisa, is charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; second degree persistent felony and leaving the scene of an accident failure to render aide or assistance.

On or before Aug. 7, 2023, Mollett allegedly engaged in conduct that creates substantial danger of death or serious physical conduct danger of death or serious physical injury to another person, namely Jennifer Miller and Robert Whitt of Louisa and he is a previously convicted felon.

•Kevin L. Moore, 52, of Adams, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession/use drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seatbelt.

On or about Oct. 18, 2023 Moore allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine, he had a glass pipe in his possession and he operated a vehicle without wearing seat belts.

•Stephen W. Hatton, 56, of Paintsville, is charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance and second-degree persistent felony offender.

On or before May 27, Hatton allegedly was in possession with 3.418 grams of methamphetamine with intent to traffic that substance and he is a previously convicted felon.

•Clinton J. Perkins, 40, of Louisa, is charged with first-degree strangulation.

On or before Aug. 21, 2023, Perkins allegedly impeded the normal breathing pressure of David Copland.

•Joshua Fitzpatrick 44, of Paintsville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and he failed to signal.

On or before Sept. 17, 2023, Fitzpatrick was in possession of methamphetamine, he was under the influence of alcohol or dugs while driving and he failed to signal.

•Kory L. Veal, 46, of Leannder, is charged in two indictments with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence for the fourth time within 10 years. Veal is charged in a second indictment additionally charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle.
