Lawrence County Grand Jury hands down nine True Bills during August meeting

Three from Dunlow, WV, are among nine people indicted in Lawrence County each with charges of complicity importing Fentanyl or Fentanyl derivatives, first-degree complicity possession of Cocaine, and complicity possession of drug paraphernalia.
The indictments state that John New, 39, Amber Brock, 26, and Brittany Preece, 26, (who was also charged with no operator’s license (that on May 21, in Lawrence County they knowingly and unlawfully committed these offenses.
Keith Wiley, 34, of Inez, is charged with first-degree possession of Methamphetamine. The indictment states that he unlawfully committed this offense on April 12.
Joe Chapman, 61, of Louisa, is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree possession of methamphetamine, operating a motor vehicle on suspended/revoked license. The indictment states he was found to be in possession of a Ruger brand .22 caliber handgun and committed the other offenses on June 14.
Taylor Mills, 43, of Lexington, is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. The indictment states Mills was found to be in possession of a Hi-Point .380 caliber handgun on May 7.
Rachel McCoy, 41, of Frenchburg, is charged with burglary in the third-degree when on July 21 she unlawfully entered and remained in a building owned by Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) with the intent to commit the crime of theft.
Joshua Ratliff, 41 and Nicole Jude, 38, both of Louisa, are charged with burglary in the second degree (complicity). The indictment states that on July 18, they both unlawfully entered the house of Joseph Jude located on Gene Wilson Blvd., Louisa, with the intent to commit the crime of theft. Ratliff is also charged with second-degree persistent felony offender.
