Death investigation underway after Fort Gay man’s body found on Paddle Creek Road

FORT GAY, WV- A 19 year-old Fort Gay, WV man was found on Saturday, Aug. 10, after family reported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s office that he was missing.
The body of Caleb Taylor Marcum was found on Paddle Creek Road, after several days of searching the area where his car was found on Wednesday, August 7, with suspicious circumstances surrounding the way it was left by the side of road.
According to Sheriff Rick Thompson there is an investigation into Marcum’s death and as of now it’s not clear if it was a suspicious death. Police are asking that anyone with information to call the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 304-272-6378 or 304- 272-5131.
