LOUISA — The Lawrence County Fair Board announced this week that it will have the Lawrence County Fair July 29-31.

The Miss Lawrence County Beauty Pageant, part of the fair festivities, will be held on July 24.

Events will include Cowboy Church and the Livestock Show on July 29; the horse show on July 30; and the outhouse races, Kings Brother’s Rodeo and halftime special guest Sam L. Smith on July 31.

Times for the events have not yet been announced, but the Lawrence County Fair Board wanted to make the public aware that it will host the event this year, so they can plan to be there.

Anyone with questions regarding the event can contact Rick Blackburn at (606) 371-6446 or James A. Pauley Barker at (606) 483-4029.

The Lawrence County Fair is the latest annual event to announce a return after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down most activities last year.

Officials with the Lawrence County Septemberfest and the Kentucky Apple Festival of Johnson County announced recently that those events will return in the fall.
