“Hometown Hero” honored by local Store in Louisa

The Save A Lot Store in Louisa had an opportunity to honor a Hometown Hero, Jess Sisca, her husband Pat Sisca and her daughter, Juliana Sisca, with a $500 gift card on Tuesday, Aug. 12

Jess is a pillar of the community and owns and operates JJ’s Grub Truck. Jessica said, “with this donation, I will be able to buy a lot more food to help even more people in the community, starting with the veterans.”

She started helping the community when she first moved to the area and saw the need for meals for kids after school. She has since then been involved in school fundraisers, animal shelters, American Legions and free meals for veterans.

Jessica also stated, “It was an amazing honor, I’m still in awe of all the support I’ve had from the community. Thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to vote for me, and a special thank you to Karen, who nominated me.”

“Save A Lot does a wonderful job recognizing their customers and community members, and giving back like this deserves recognition as well. I’m very fortunate to be able to do what I do, but I wouldn’t be able to do it without your continued support and business. I’ve got more fundraisers lined up, and am always willing to help when I can. Thank you all again.”

“Thank you, Karen, for nominating me, and thank you to all my friends and followers for voting and spreading the word that allowed me to win!! Once I get some time to figure out my schedule, I will be working with Save A Lot to purchase some food so I can feed our vets a free meal!! I’m so excited and humbled to be able to do this...”
