Chris Stapleton Walks Away with Two More Grammy’s

REGIONAL—Johnson County native Chris Stapleton took home two more grammy’s during the 66th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday bringing his total to 10 grammy’s.

The awards ceremony broadcasted live on CBS from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

Stapleton won Best Country Solo for “White Horse,” and Best Country Song, also for “White Horse.”

Stapleton also recently won Male Vocalist of the Year at the 57th annual CMA Awards which were held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville TN in November.

Lawrence County native Tyler Childers is apparently gaining momentum as he was nominated in five categories for a grammy during this year’s celebration

Childers was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “In Your Love,” Best Country Song for “In Your Love,” Best Country Album for “Rustin’ in the Rain,” Best Americana Performance for “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” and Best Music Video for “In Your Love.”

Author Silas House, a Corbin Kentucky native also received a grammy nomination for Best Music Video for Childers’ “In Your Love,” as he is credited as a video producer.

Andrew Mortimer
