If you’re looking for spooky Halloween fun you won’t have far to go to find ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night.
There are all kinds of activities for everyone to enjoy this Fall season.
Deja Brew & Sweets Too in Louisa is having a Spooktacular Coloring Contest that’s open to all school age kids. Just run by the shop and pick up a coloring sheet return it no later than Oct. 30, to be considered in the judging. There will be a first, second and third place winner who will receive prizes.
The Annual Kids Fall Fest will be Saturday, Oct. 19, from 2-4 p.m. at the Chapman Park in Lawrence County. All booths are owned and operated by kids who are offering sweet treats, fortune telling, drinks, games, crafts face painting and more. This year the festival will also have horse rides by Brushy Mountain Stables.
City of Pikeville’s 14th Annual Nightmare on Main Street is scheduled for Oct. 24 from 6-9 p.m. For more information go to www.visitpikeville.com.

Coal Miners Museum is having their 23rd Annual Haunted Museum hosted by the Van Lear Historical Society. Dates are October 11&12, 18&19 and 25&26, starting at 7 p.m. $8 per person and featuring the Main Street Players. Enter at your own risk, 4-foot height requirement. 606-789-8540.

Woody and Bears Rhythm and Brews is hosting a Halloween Spook Party, Oct. 26, beginning at 7 p.m. Live music by The Cornbread Orchestra and door prizes for best costume. No cover charge.
Louisa Middle School is hosting a “Trunk or Treat” Thursday, Oct., 24 6-8 p.m. with prizes, treats and more. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Louisa Middle School Gymnasium. For more info contact Kasey Tackett at 606-638-4090.
Just across the bridge from Louisa, Fort Gay, WV is having two separate “Trunk or Treat” events on Oct. 31. One is hosted by Saltpetre Community Church and is from 5-8 p.m. on Orchard Street and the other is hosted by New Life Outreach Church from 5-8 p.m., and will be located at 20 Cedar Heights Rd.
Trick or Treat night for Louisa/Lawrence County and Fort Gay will be Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. while City of Prestonsburg, Martin and Johnson Counties are Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m.
