“Meet the Soccer Dawgs” Lawrence County Girls and Boys on Thursday, Aug. 5, 6 p.m., at the Lawrence County soccer complex behind Lawrence County High School. Free admission. Intra-squad scrimmages and contests. Hillbilly Hibachi and KONA ICE. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Tri-State S.W.A.T. is looking for 07-08 birth years for a brand new 14U girls travel softball team. Sign ups will be on Aug. 5 and 10th at 6 p.m., at the Stella Moore Ballfield, off Highway 2565, Louisa. Pitchers and catchers plan to stay 30 minutes after. Catchers bring gear. A volleyball tournament for high school players (9th and up) will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Fort Gay PreK-8 school. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with play at 10 a.m. This will be a 6 on 6 tournament, with a max of 8 players per team. There must be at least two girls on each team and two girls must be on the floor at all times. The fee is $50 per team. The winner will receive a reward. Concessions is provided. The Lawrence County (KY) Youth Soccer has a registration form on Facebook. No late signups will be accepted. Fall 2021 age groups are U6, U8, U10 and U12- birth years 2010-2017. Fall registration ends Sunday, Aug. 8. Sign up and pay online via PayPal or debit/credit card.
