The Lady Cards will have a Basketball camp at Martin County High School for boys and girls, K-6th grade, July 21, 22 and 23, 4-7 p.m., daily. Cost $50 per camper, ($40 for additional camper.) Special guest will be Ida Bowen, former Lady Card and 1991 Miss Kentucky Basketball.

The 2021 Lawrence County Youth Football League is now having football and cheer sign-ups on Facebook. Form is under LCYFL Football and Cheer 2021. A family discount is being offered for more than one. Football conditioning will be at the Lawrence County High School football field, 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 27; Wednesday, July 28; and Thursday, July 22, 29; Blaine Community Center, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, July 26; Friday, July 23, 30; Fallsburg Community Center, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, July 26; and Friday, July 23, and 30. A Catfish Tournament sponsored by Rebel River Outfitters in Louisa, will begin at 5 p.m., Friday, July 23 and end at 5 p.m., Sunday, July 25. You can fish the Tug, Levisa, Big Sandy or the Ohio Rivers. The most inches win the cash and the Title of CatMaster. Entry fee is $20, the winner gets 50% of the entry fee. The Amanda Christian Memorial Fishing Tournament will be held Sunday, July 25, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Yatesville State Park Lake. The open tournament will do 80% payback and 20% towards family relief for funeral costs, etc. Registration begins at 4:30 a.m., and close at 5:45 a.m., launch at 6 a.m. Event by Seth Daniel Christian and Marathon Bass League. 6th annual (car-truck-motorcycles) Lawrence County Fair Car Show will be held Saturday, July 31. Registration 9 a.m., show 10 a.m.-noon. $20 donation registration. Johnson County Jeep Club’s Kentucky State Police Fallen Officer Memorial Ride for Trooper Island Kickoff party and show and shine will be held Friday, July 30, 7-10 p.m., in the parking lot at Citizens Bank of Paintsville. Open to jeeps, cars, trucks, classics, bikes and rat rods. $10 entry fee. Extreme Soundz will be there to DJ. Pre-registration tent will be set up as well as food and other vendors.

The Kentucky State Police Memorial Ride will be held Saturday, July 31, beginning and ending at Hutch Jeep in Paintsville. Registration 8-10:30 a.m., safety talk at 10:30 a.m., rolling out at 11 a.m. Catering by Camp Pizza, games and door prizes. Tri-State S.W.A.T. is looking for 07-08 birth years for a brand new 14U girls travel softball team. Sign ups will be on Aug. 3, 5 and 10th at 6 p.m., at the Stella Moore Ballfield, off Highway 2565, Louisa. Pitchers and catchers plan to stay 30 minutes after. Catchers bring gear.
