Tolsia Youth Football League sign-up will June 27, 2:30-3:30 p.m., at Tolsia High School football field for children ages 5-12. Conditioning will begin July 5 and be every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in July, 5:30-7 p.m. Official practice will begin around the first of August. No sign-up fees this year. The Marshall Cheerleading 2021 Skills Clinic will be held at the Chris Cline Indoor Athletic Facility, June 25, 5-9 p.m., and June 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., for middle and high school students. A Catfish Tournament will be held June 25 (5 p.m.)-June 27 (5 p.m.). Entry fee will be $20. Winner will get 50% payback, the biggest fish will get 25% payback and the other 25% will go to help Trooper Island Kids Camp here in Kentucky. The money collected will be delivered to the camp by the Johnson County Jeep Club. Sign up at Rebel River Outfitters in Louisa. For information, call 606-232-9665.
The Cal Ripken Baseball and Softball District 3 tournament will be held Thursday, June 24 thru Sunday, June 27, at the Stella Moore ballfield, 89 Locust Ave., Louisa. Admission prices are set by district. They are designed to keep all prices fair to hosting leagues. Prices will be 5$ for adults, 3$ kids with 12 and under being free. This will be the same no matter who hosts. Entry is to be paid upon entering Stella Moore Park. Please park as conservatively as possible. Utilize as much of the right hand side as you enter the park. Grass will be cut back as far as possible and remember to give room to exit. We will have someone help as best we can. Also, if carpooling is an option please do so. Also be considerate as to where you park. Please don't block views of fields so spectators cannot see.
If anyone would like to volunteer to help during the tournament please contact us. We will need help with admission, concessions, field maintenance, official scorekeepers. If anyone has any large coolers that we can use please let us know. Please write name on bottom so that it will get back to you. Please keep fields clean as possible this week. Pick up any and all trash. Do not leave anything left behind in dugouts after scrimmages/practices this week. Any assistance on getting fields tournament ready is greatly appreciated. We will be there beginning at 9am each day.
Gerald Parker Youth Football Camp for ages -12, will be held on Wednesday, July 7, at Luke Varney Memorial Stadium at Lawrence County High School, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Cost is $40. Open to anyone, not just kids from Lawrence County. Register online: www.lcyfootball.com. For information, call 502-551-8730.
