Rebels level rival Wayne 59-6

FORT GAY, W.Va. — Tolsia pulled away to defeat visiting rival Wayne 59-6 in an early-season West Virginia high school football game at Wilt Samons Field on Friday, Sept. 18.The Rebels scored first and never trailed. Tolsia led 47-6 at halftime. Tolsia amassed 415 yards of total offense in the victory. The Rebels rushed for 351 yards. John Wilson led Tolsia on the ground, rushing 18 times for 140 yards and one touchdown. Following Wilson, Gavin Meadows rushed six times for 81 yards and one touchdown as the Rebels prevailed. Cameron Ratcliffe added 54 yards and one touchdown via 12 carries for the Rebels. Quarterback Jesse Muncy produced both on the ground and through the air for the Rebels. On the ground, Muncy rushed three times for 44 yards and two touchdowns. Another Tolsia running back, Tanner Copley, rushed three times for 31 yards and one touchdown. Through the air, Muncy completed three of three passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns. Devin Stull was Muncy's top target, hauling in two receptions for 52 yards and two touchdowns. Delivering on special teams, Meadows returned a kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown. Defensively for Tolsia, Will Newsome recorded a sack while TJ Jackson posted three tackles for losses. Both Muncy and Zack Ball recorded an interception for the Rebels. Tolsia is scheduled to visit East Carter on Friday, Sept. 25.
