Preseason KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll released

LEXINGTON — The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association released the Preseason KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Reigning champion Shelby Valley is ranked first in the Preseason KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll. Shelby Valley defeated Paintsville in the 2025 Region 15 Volleyball Tournament title match.

Following Shelby Valley in the Preseason KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll are Paintsville (2), Betsy Layne (3), Johnson Central (4) and Pikeville (5).

High school volleyball teams opened preseason practice in July, following the conclusion of the KHSAA Dead Period. The 2026 high school volleyball season will open on Monday, Aug. 17.
