LOUISA — The Preseason 15th Region Girls’ Basketball Coaches Poll has been released.

Reigning champion Pikeville is ranked first in the Preseason 15th Region Girls’ Basketball Coaches Poll.

Pikeville put together a 27-6 record in the 2023-24 girls’ high school basketball season.

Denise Campbell is guiding Pikeville in her first season as head coach.

Johnson Central, Lawrence County, Martin County, Prestonsburg, Floyd Central, Shelby Valley, Betsy Layne, Paintsville and Pike County Central are ranked behind Pikeville in the Preseason 15th Region Girls’ Basketball Coaches Poll.

Girls’ high school basketball teams entered the week set to compete in 2024-25 season openers.
