Paintsville Volleyball Pre-Season Panorama set for Aug. 13

PAINTSVILLE — The Paintsville Volleyball Pre-Season Panorama is set for Saturday, Aug. 13.

Teams participating in the panorama will be on the court for matches at Paintsville High School and Paintsville Elementary School.

Several familiar opponents will meet in the Paintsville-hosted preseason high school volleyball event.

Teams from the 14th, 15th and 16th regions will compete in the Paintsville Volleyball Pre-Season Panorama.

High school volleyball teams from throughout the state opened preseason practice in July, following the conclusion of the KHSAA Dead Period.

The schedule for the Paintsville Volleyball Pre-Season Panorama follows.

• Paintsville High School: 9 a.m. - Pike County Central vs. Johnson Central; 10 a.m. - Betsy Layne vs. Johnson Central; 11 a.m. - Johnson Central vs. Betsy Layne; Noon - Paintsville vs. Floyd Central; 1 p.m. - Paintsville vs. Wolfe County; 2 p.m. - Pikeville vs. Floyd Central.

• Paintsville Elementary School: 9 a.m. - Prestonsburg vs. Martin County; 10 a.m. - Martin County vs. Leslie County; 11 a.m. - Prestonsburg vs. East Ridge; Noon - Leslie County vs. Shelby Valley; 1 p.m. - Knott County Central vs. East Ridge; 2 p.m. - Shelby Valley vs. Knott County Central.

The 2022 high school volleyball season is scheduled to open on Monday, Aug. 15.
