Paintsville ranked first in KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll

PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville is ranked first in the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Region 15 Top 5 Poll, which was released on Thursday, Sept. 17. Perennial 15th Region title contender Paintsville is ranked ahead of reigning champion Floyd Central (2), Pikeville (3), Martin County (4) and East Ridge (5). Paintsville ended the second week of the 2020 Kentucky high school volleyball season 8-0. Earlier in the month, Paintsville won the Boyd County-hosted Lady Lions Invitational. Defending 57th District champion Paintsville entered the third week of the regular season with matches remaining versus Betsy Layne, Prestonsburg, Floyd Central, Jenkins, Johnson Central, Martin County and Pikeville.
